This is a template to help you write an urban legend article. You can delete this article and replace it with a real one.

## Overview

Summarize the story in one or two sentences. Also mention when and where it began to spread.

## Story

Describe the story itself. If there are multiple versions, separate them as “Version 1,” “Version 2,” and so on.

## Authenticity debate

Summarize the evidence that the story really happened, as well as the evidence that it was made up. Don’t draw a conclusion either way; **include both sides.**

## Sources

- Where the story first spread (online community, news outlet, etc.)
- Links to related coverage or records, if available

News, YouTube, and social media links added to the **“Related links”** field in the editing interface will automatically appear separately from the article text, as thumbnail cards at the bottom of the page (see the example at the very bottom of this article).

While writing, you can use the **“AI Fact and Date Extraction”** button in the lower-right corner of the editing interface to cross-check those links. The button itself is available only in the editing interface, but after reviewing the extracted results, you can save them as is, and they will also appear at the very bottom of this article (see “AI-verified information” at the end of the article).

## Verified facts

- A Japanese urban legend featuring a woman whose face is covered by a mask or similar item.
- The woman carries a sharp weapon such as scissors or a knife.
- She asks her victims whether she is pretty.

## Points of dispute

- Height: Some claim she is 175–180 cm tall, while others say she is over 2 m tall.
